Carey Anne is the founder and CEO of Open Data Nation, a company that uses data to predict where crashes are most likely to happen. She is an MIT graduate and an expert in transportation and insurance. Carey Anne has knowledge on how to map and analyze data and on target markets for products in this area. 

 

One of the challenges for ODN comes from the initial problem that currently, most states do not have their data open to the public unless requested, and receiving this can take a long time and needs to be modified. Our product would provide companies like Carey Anne’s with relevant data to analyze that has already been preprocessed to suit their needs. 

 

Because ODN is a potential user of our product, Carey Anne was able to help us understand what data is important to include and most useful in the prediction of car crashes. Through a video chat, she helped us discover possibilities for our product.
